Project Details
High quality apartments
Well Hall Road is one of Elkins Construction’s new residential developments for Royal Borough of Greenwich, which is part of its ‘Greenwich Builds’ programme to construct 750 new council homes across the borough. The development comprises 20 new characterful, high-quality apartments across one block, with a shared landscaped garden and play area for residents, plus eight new parking spaces. The homes range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom residences and also include two two-bedroom wheelchair accessible homes.
Affordable homes for local people
The new homes at Well Hall Road will be offered to local people on the council’s housing waiting list and are designed to be truly affordable. The development has been built to zero-carbon standards and employs energy-saving technologies, such as solar panels, heat pumps and triple glazing. These features not only benefit the environment but also reduce the everyday running costs of the homes for residents, helping to make them more affordable.
Considerate design
The design of Well Hall Road was carefully considered to ensure it enhances architectural interest in the surrounding area, as well as complementing the existing apartment blocks on the road. Stepped changes in the height of the building have been designed to match the changes in level of other buildings nearby. Notably, the development was constructed using a sustainable modern method of construction, which improves speed and efficiency and reduces carbon emissions.
